Pasco, WA Call To Action
This campaign has ended,
thank you for your support!
Breed-specific legislation (BSL) in the city of Pasco, WA places unreasonable and discriminatory restrictions on owners of dogs labeled as "pitbulls" which includes American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, and Staffordshire Bull Terriers. This archaic legislation can also impact many mixed breed dogs and any dogs that loosely resemble a "pitbull" due to their appearance. Scientific studies, veterinary, canine, and public safety experts agree that BSL and appearance-based restrictions are ineffective and a waste of public resources. Even worse, they are discriminatory towards responsible owners and punish dogs based only on their appearance or breed, sometimes resulting in the seizure of loved pets that have done nothing wrong. If you agree that BSL should be repealed, please take action by sending a message to Pasco City Council members using the form below.
